Waiting… Tuesday, May 29 2007
Family 11:07 am
I’m playing the waiting game. I am waiting to hear that my new godson and goddaughter have arrived safe and sound and how BIG they are. I know they have to be big. They were 5.5 and 6.5 pounds almost 3 weeks ago. But they were content to stay inside their mama until the scheduled delivery day…today!!!!
Saturday my DD and I get on a plane to go see the little ones. I can’t wait.
Say a prayer for Peg as she is delivering right now!
Crazy Kid Friday, May 18 2007
Family 10:37 am
My son Brian is a crazy kid. He really is.
He was a drama king in high school and was Thespian president.
You should see all of his awards!
People say he looks like me. Hmmm…..
AND he was valedictorian!
I just had to share these crazy pictures with you. My computer is full of them.
Happy Birthday, Shelley! Wednesday, May 16 2007
Hello! It’s hump day, Wednesday, mid week!
Today is my friend Shelley’s birthday. Happy Birthday, Shelley! Take a break and stay in bed all day! Sorry. Not funny.
Shelley is on complete bedrest for the remainder of her pregnancy. Please say a prayer for her today.
I’ve got projects to work on today and a cake to make. But first, I wanted to share the name frame I made for my aunt for her birthday. She just recently was able to redecorate her home a little and I wanted to give her something to put on her wall. I just love making these name frames.
As I was looking in my files for this pic I came across so many crazy pics of my son. I think I will share some of those tomorrow!
Have a great Wednesday!
Mother’s Day Monday, May 14 2007
I had a nice Mother’s Day. How about you? I was unable to spend the day with all of my kids. But, the boys both called and my mom and my daughter were both here so that kinda made up for it. Hubby made homemade waffles for breakfast. Too bad I didn’t know about the butter, caramel sauce and whipped cream, Lauren (http://laurenm.blogs.splitcoaststampers.com/) mentioned in her post today! That sounds yummy! We went to church and then I took my mom to lunch at Logan’s. It was delicious! Then we came home and I made a little something for mom to give away at the family reunion.
My pictures weren’t the best and the coaster pictures are on their way to Iowa so I have to just say “Sorry” for the bad pics and post em anyway! The only good pic I had of my grandparents (both are sadly no longer with us) was on a button my aunt had made. So, I scanned it and made this little coaster art. Coasters were cork coasters. My Cropadile punched right through them! I Modpodged the background paper on. Coincidentally the paper was the “Grandpa’s Attic” line from S.E.I. I printed the saying onto White Naturals cardstock and used the Linen and Damask background stamps stamped off once using the older Baroque Burgundy. I modpodged everything except the primas and hinges and added them after the pieces dried. The screws that came with the hinges were just too long. Office brads were used instead since smaller brads were just not long enough. Anyone else have an idea?
THIS pic is not good at all, but like I said…they are half way to Iowa by now. This coaster was originally going to be the one on the other piece. It is one of those happy mistakes. The bow at the top covers the modpodge which is “gunky” and I added the little punched out pic of my grandparents which is how I mistakenly printed it to begin with….way too small. I added a clothespin to the back with Crystal Effects and now it stands up and can hold a picture or recipe card. I hope whoever gets these at the family reunion likes them. 🙂
I’ve got more pics and projects to share this week, so y’all come back now, ya hear?
