Blog Candy Is Coming! I’ve been collecting a few things while I am away from home! Check back soon, friends~~~~~~

A Winner… Friday, May 11 2007

Sadly, I only had 5 comments on my blog candy post. But happily, that worked out well for Cheryl Kelly-Van Domelen. She had some lovely comments about her mom:

“Hello! My mom is my best friend. She taught me how to be a good mom, how to garden and how to manage money. I love being a mom too! I have a 2 year old daughter and she is so funny. I quit my career to be a SAHM and although our income was cut in half, my happiness has doubled! I just stared a blog – it’s nothing much – if you are interested. Thanks!”
Good luck on your blog Cheryl! And be sure to email me with your address so I can get your treats out to you asap.
I’m getting a great blog candy together for next time, so keep checking back. I’ll definitely be celebrating 10,000 hits!

The winner of the blog candy is Pat. Here is Pat’s comment: “You can find the clear mounting blocks at Michael’s for $1 and they come in different sizes. I did see them at Wal Mart along with clear stamps just the other day. Hope this helps!” Be sure to email me with your address!
Have a great weekend!

The Goods Thursday, Apr 26 2007

Here is the promised pic of blog candy. It includes a very cool purse box (empty, but once did have Russell Stover chocolates). This will be a cool box to alter. I bought several so am sharing one. The box will contain one Studio G acrylic stamp set, a quarter sponge, adhesive backed rhinestones, sheer golden ribbon, felt flower and kissables. Good Luck!

Happy Mail for me.. and YOU? Tuesday, Apr 24 2007

I know…. 3 posts in one day is a little excessive. I had to share my happy mail though! My order from Mary Croppins arrived and it had a treasure trove of acrylic stamps in it. Up until last week I had resisted them telling myself it would open up a door I should keep closed. Stampin Up has always been my major stamping resource source and as you know, they only sell the wood mounted system.
Now, I only have one acrylic block so I will have to get some more of these. I know for sure I want ones with grooves in the sides for easier handling. Where to get them though? Share a good source with me and I just might send happy mail to YOU! Leave a comment here on where to buy acrylic blocks economically or on my earlier post asking for doodling ideas and I may have some angelic sweets sent on their way to you. Deadline is Friday, April 27th. Winner will be randomally drawn from the comments from both posts and announced Saturday.
Pictured below are the acrylic stamps I received in my order. I highly recommend Mary Croppins. They even included some free monogram diecuts in A, W and K (this is the initial of both DH & DD! How did they know?) Stamps are from Technique Tuesday, Fancy Pants and Maya Road.
Happy mail
This is a pic of my order, NOT the blog candy. Blog candy pic will be posted later in the week.
Blessings to you~ Angel

Winner Friday, Apr 13 2007

Friday the 13th isn’t so bad. Is it, Rita??? Rita is my random number blog candy winner with her comment:

I saw a neat organizer at Hobby Lobby for $29.99.. It’s round and has little storage bins on three adjustable tiers…I might just go back and get one the next time I have a 40% coupon.
And a great idea too. I love organizers! Congratulations, Rita!
I’ll let you know where the money went as soon as I spend it!
Katie had a good sweet 16th…. thank you for the birthday wishes for her!

More Sweet Treats! Wednesday, Apr 11 2007

Okay…I like giving things away!
Hubby just gave me a little “mad money” (after a little bit of begging, okay a LOT of begging). And I want YOUR ideas on how to spend it. What treasures have you spent your money on lately and feel completely satisfied with your purchase? Have a bargain site to share? Mike’s or HL have an item that’s a “must-have”?
I have never used acrylic stamps, but am seriously considering some “Fancy Pants” stamps from Eclectic Paperie. What do I need to know about acrylics?
Post your comment here and on my baby’s sweet 16th birthday… this Friday, April 13th I will draw a random winner. IF I use your idea I will send you a little goodie too.
I don’t have a picture to post because I have not spent my mad money yet. Silly.

Winner Wednesday, Apr 11 2007

We have a blog candy winner. The Random Number Generator Site picked comment #2 which was Doverdi-
“Paper pricking backgrounds make very elegant wedding cards. Templates are available in different designs. Combine this with spirelli and you’re good to go. These two items combined make nice wedding invites.”
Please email me your address and I will get your goodies in the mail! Thank you all for your comments. Hopefully you will see an actual wedding invitation posted here one of these days! And more blog candy in the future. I’ve got lots of ideas up my sleeve.
I’ll have company for a few days beginning today, so you may not see a lot of me. But, I will check in!
Wednesday Blessings~ Angel

S.O.S. Thursday, Apr 5 2007

I’ve mentioned in a previous post that I am working on my son’s wedding invitations. Well…. I still don’t have a design and my deadline is looming. So, I am sending out an S.O.S.  (Seeking Out Stamping ideas?). Corny, I know. But, in other words, I am looking for help . If you have any ideas for wedding invitations or any tips at all,  please add a comment to this post.  Of course, I will compensate. I’ve started a little pile of goodies and plan to add to that.  For every 100 comments (1 per person please) I will add another winner. 100 comments equals 2 blog candy recipients.  If you have a picture to share, please add a link or you can email me your tip and the picture and I will be sure to include you in the drawing! Next Wednesday, April 11 I will draw the winner and post it here on my blog. Be sure to check back then! It will be a random drawing so even if I don’t use your idea, you could be the winner. I have heard there is some internet tool that can help with the number being generated.
Here is a pic of what I have so far for the “prize”. It includes a Stampin Up set- “Smorgasborders”, ribbon, chipboard tags cut from Cuttlebug, Mono Aqua liquid glue, refill blade cartridges and 3 large Primas.

Surely you have an idea for me???
